I have a product that I just know everyone deals with on a daily basis. The TV remote! I have approximately 4 – 8 seperate remotes laying around my home for different devices like bedroom tvs, sound bars, and dvd players. While the invention of the Universal remote is handy and limited the need for several remotes needed simultaneously they have done little work to develop a way to reduce the amount of batteries needed to continuously keep these little gems of modern technology working. My son’s Playstation controllers are more advanced using rechargeable batteries that are internal and easily charged like a cell phone. Since many Universal Remotes have gone to Bluetooth technology the use of batteries for these things has sky rocketed. I just think that if someone developed a remote that every month needed to be charged overnight a ton of battery waste can be reduced.
